The Feast of Pentecost (Sunday May 19^th ) brings the Season of Easter to a close and does so by reminding us that faith in Jesus Christ crucified and risen  is about responding to a person rather than simply keeping rules or believing in facts. It is about an experience which is made possible through the gift of the Holy Spirit.

At Pentecost we celebrate the gift that empowers the followers of Jesus to live the way that he had shown them and to build a community that witnesses joyfully to the compassionate presence of God in the world, this is the gift we share, a power within us that enables us to live well in the world.

As the school year draws to a close let us pray in the power of the Holy Spirit for a new awareness of the presence of the Holy Spirit in our school community, guiding us, blessing us, healing us and helping us to be the best we can be.

May our students sitting the state exams experience the calming presence of the Spirit offering them wisdom and strength so that they may perform to the best of their ability in the days ahead.

Let us give thanks for the blessings we have enjoyed this year.
