Continuing Professional Developoment is highly valued in Le Chéile Schools and we are happy to let our teachers know about suitable and relevant courses that are brought to our attention. Tóríacht: Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Leadership This diploma is offered jointly by the Professional Development Service for Teachers and the Education Department NUI Maynooth. The programme is supported by the Department of Education and Skills. It aims to enhance participants' current work and to support their preparation for future leadership and management positions. It aims to develop the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and skills for successful modern school leadership. The programme is delivered through a blended model of facilitated sessions and on-line workshops in parallel with individual and group projects and presentations. It will be presented subject to sufficient applicants, over one academic year between September 2011 and June 2012 in the following centres: Induction will take place in NUI Maynooth on 3rd September 2011 (attendance compulsory) The course is intended for qualified teachers at primary or post primary level with a minimum of four years teaching experience. It is aimed at those who want to explore imortant synergies between the environmetal sciences and theological worldviews.In advacne of the launch at All Hallows DCU in July 2011 there will be a series of Saturday workshops from March 26th to April 16th to highlight the programme's interdisciplinary strengths and to give potential students a flavour of what is on offer.
