The Emmaus Retreat Centre in Swords Co Dublin is offering a new programme in Leadership Skills for TY, 5th and 6th year students in the 2010-2011 school year.
 

This programme offers:

Students the skills for being leaders in their school (e.g. Student Council, School events, Prefects, Mentors)
Motivates your students to contribute and have greater involvement in their school
The Skills needed to communicate with students and their teachers (whole school community)
These skills are taught through
Team Games (this bonds the group and brings our leadership skills
Drama (real-school situations and how to deal with them)
Listening / Communication Exercises (how to listen to people)
Presentation Skills

The programme is being offered by Gearoid, the Retreat Team Co-ordinator and Qualified Secondary School Teacher.
The programme runs from 09.45am - 3.00pm
Cost: From €25.00 per student  (Lunch and Tea/Coffee Break included).
