The JMB has just published a very important document entitled Guidelines on the Inclusion of Students of other Faiths in Catholic Secondary Schools. Written by Aiveen Mullally of the Marino Institute after consultation with interested parties, it is a very valuable resource for Principals and RE departments. It is being forwarded to Catholic Secondary schools around the country . 

In addition to the guidelines it contains useful background information regarding other faiths and their religious practices including a section on funerals and the commemoration of the dead. There are also appendices giving information on the religious calendars of the other traditions and a sample interfaith prayer service.
